Howard Community College, Columbia, MD, 2023-01-01

Howard Community College has a beautiful campus with a trail that circles two ponds, the track, a garden, and a grove of trees which includes one of my favorite trees. A building is under construction and the cement mixers were blocking my view! The tree has also had a limb break off, so I was […]

Patuxent Research Refuge – South Tract, Laurel, MD, 2022-12-29

We took a very short walk at the Patuxent Research Refuge – South Tract. The trails were closed for hunting. The majority of the trees were bare and perfect for photos. Lake Reddington was frozen which made a nice backdrop for the lonely limb sitting on the ice. Patuxent Research Refuge – South Tract, https://www.fws.gov/refuge/patuxent-research, […]

Patuxent Research Refuge – North Tract, 2022-12-20

During this visit we explored the “other” side of the refuge. It is about 5 miles southeast of the visitor’s center (map below). On the way to the Cattail Pond Parking lot, there is a stretch of power lines. All of the trails were closed so we had to walk along the street and this […]

Patuxent Research Refuge – North Tract, Laurel, MD, 2022-12-14

We ran into an opossum at the refuge. I thought it was cute, but my friend does not agree with me due to the fact that apparently they are a nuisance around near her house. I am not saying that I want it for a pet. 🙂

    McCullough Field, Laurel, MD, 2022-11-05

The sky was spectacular in Laurel, MD on this day. Walking around McCullough field, on what felt like a summer day, was able to take a few pictures of the sky. I also took some objects in the surrounding area of a beautiful crepe myrtle with bright orange/yellow leaves. Visit the gallery: 2022-11-05 – McCullough […]

    Scott’s Cove, Laurel, MD, 2022-11-05

On this visit to Scott’s Cove, it appeared the water level was lower than it possibly usually is. I say possibly only because this was our second visit. We were able to walk out onto what felt like marshy land and we were able to see some beautiful views of the lake. 2022-11-05 – Scott’s […]

Baltimore Museum of Industry, Baltimore, MD, 2022-11-04

Baltimore Museum of Industry, Baltimore, MD, 2022-11-04 – I love to visit the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s parking lot. The views from there are awesome. On this day it was foggy and this added some drama to the scene. But did you know that jellyfish exist in the Baltimore Harbor? Imagine my surprise when I saw them. Most were dead but one was still moving. Read more>> https://tmichellemoore.com/blog/baltimore-museum-of-industry-baltimore-md-2022-11-04/ #Photography #Baltimore #MD #Maryland
