I finally made it to the top of the tower. OK, it is only two stories but for the last 3 times that I tried, as soon as I got to the second level of the steps that you can see through, my head would start to spin. I was still a little shaky but I MADE IT! The view of Merganser Pond was great. The temperature was a little cold, but the refuge was beautiful, as always. We saw hundreds of birds that appeared to be preparing to migrate.
