On this walk around the Tidal Basin, in downtown Washington, DC, many trees were a little past peak color but still beautiful. The light was a little harsh so as I took pictures of the cherry trees, it was hard to show their age and twisted form. The sky was beautiful. The temperature was perfect. And the city was beautiful. If you ever come for the Cherry Blossom Festival, this is the home of the trees that you would see in most pictures.
