Today we walked around the Meganser Pond Trail, saw the Turkey Vultures, and tried to visit Lake Allen. Many birds were out at the bird feeding station near the visitors center. Today we took a different journey through the refuge. We hadn’t been to Lake Allen in a few years because the road was closed. When we arrived we discovered a small paradise. The noise from the cars barreling down route 32 didn’t overtake the beauty of this location. All Snapshots

As we walked through the Refuge yesterday we could see through the forest way more than normal. The water was higher in places that are not regularly visible. We could hear a LOT of birds. And the temperature was great in the 60’s. Visit the Gallery

Today was cold! But the birds were back! We saw Turkey Buzzards, what appeared to be Canadian Geese, a robin, and other birds. We have not seen many birds during our last visits.

The weather was cold but the wind was not blowing. So it was actually ok. There were not many birds around today.
