As we walked through the Refuge yesterday we could see through the forest way more than normal. The water was higher in places that are not regularly visible. We could hear a LOT of birds. And the temperature was great in the 60’s. Visit the Gallery

Today was cold! But the birds were back! We saw Turkey Buzzards, what appeared to be Canadian Geese, a robin, and other birds. We have not seen many birds during our last visits.

The weather was very cold during this walk. The photo above is of a small pond that was drained. It appears to be returning as we have seen water and now ice in the pond. I am going to continue to see if it fills up over the next few months.
