Patuxent Research Refuge – North Tract, 2022-02-20

Today we walked around the Meganser Pond Trail, saw the Turkey Vultures, and tried to visit Lake Allen. Many birds were out at the bird feeding station near the visitors center. Merganser Pond was beautiful as always. The vultures had returned to the observation tower. The cat tails were in the Vernal Pools. Lake Allen was closed. It appeared that a few trees fell on the Pine Trail. And the Little Patuxent was flowing.
