I took pictures of grass and weeds, not that kind :-), in the backyard. I started to process them and thought that they actually make very nice black and white photos.
Thank you to all of my social media friends that endured my MULTIPLE posts of our journey to the Philadelphia Flower Show and back home yesterday! I am totally inspired to take photographs of more flowers based on all of them that I saw yesterday! Thank you to @theFlowerShow for the interaction! Below are some […]
This is the first time visiting this flower show. Each summer, when I visited my grandmother, we would go to the Park Seed Festival of Flowers in Greenwood, SC. I have heard very nice things about the Philadelphia Flower Show and am sure it will be great. Below are a few pictures of the journey and […]
I haven’t taken pictures in the studio that my husband setup for me in a couple of weeks. I would have loved to have taken pictures of a live flower, but in a pinch the old dried up ones will do. 🙂
My vacation started on December 22, 2017 and I immediately started to search for things to photograph. The Whole Foods never fails because there are many things to photograph in and around the store. It was also my first full day using my Pixel 2 XL phone’s camera. I am not dropping my “real” camera […]
Each time I see flowers, it occurs to me that I really love to take pictures of them. Today I ran across a cactus at a Laurel coffee shop and Lowe’s in Laurel. I used my 50mm lens with macro extension tubes.
I discovered a part of paradise in the form of Willow Oak Flower & Herb Farm. This 40 acre farm has flowers, vegetables, animals, a pond and gazebo, and so much more. They host many events, parties, and workshops. Take a day to visit and explore, you won’t be disappointed. It was extremely hot on […]
I was generously allowed to take photos at Frank’s Produce and Greenhouse in Columbia, MD. I tried a little macro photography and used my new 50 mm lens. The heat and sweat were a challenge but I managed to take a few pictures. Can I just say that the suggestion of a 50 mm lens was a good one? These shots were taken with extension tubes added. Captured: 6/21/2017
One of the things that I would like to do is turn one of my flower photos into a very large print. Thus the interest in the macro photography. I think I am getting closer to being able to do this. Cropped in a lot.
Continuing with learning macro photography, I took pictures of flowers. I have to admit I have over used my auto-focus because this is the struggle so far. The one thing evident in the flowers was the effect of our erratic weather from frost to summer during various weeks. Captured: 03-25-2017
